Kerr founded AmREIT, a New York Stock Exchange listed real estate investment trust, which was sold to EDENS (Blackstone, J. P. Morgan & New York State Teachers Retirement System) in February 2015. AmREIT purchased and developed shopping centers and mixed use properties located on “Irreplaceable Corners”™. The company produced returns from its IPO to sale in excess of 30% per annum.
